Who we are

Our story

FINEX was purpose-built to serve the architectural sector’s anodising needs. Our facility houses three anodising tanks and an electrolytic colouring bath, including some of the largest tanks in New Zealand, accommodating lengths up to 7,000 mm and depths of 1,750 mm. This capacity makes FINEX ideal for large-scale architectural projects, while also supporting precision work for smaller applications.

We operate 20 baths dedicated to cleaning, etching, anodising, colouring, and sealing. Our team works closely with clients to confirm jigging tolerances before production begins, and we welcome site visits to discuss project requirements.

Anodising provides a superior finish compared to powder or wet coatings, as the oxide layer becomes part of the aluminium surface rather than sitting on top.

Our facility

FINEX’s Hamilton facility houses three anodising tanks, an electrolytic colouring bath and 20 supporting process baths, giving clients access to large-capacity, high-quality anodising for a range of profiles. We welcomes site visits, giving you the chance to see our facility in action and gain confidence that our capabilities align with your project needs.

Environmental Responsibility

FINEX operates a fully automated, in-house trade waste treatment system that filters and presses waste materials before returning clean water to the council system. Compliance is maintained through monthly independent testing and reporting via Hill Laboratories. By managing our environmental responsibilities internally, we maintain strict quality control while reducing our impact on the surrounding environment.

FINEX’s electricity usage is effectively matched with renewable hydro power attributes through parent company, Profile Group’s, participation in the Brave Trace New Zealand Energy Certificate System, linked to Kawatiri Energy’s Lake Rochfort scheme near Westport. This means the grid electricity FINEX consumes can be accounted for as being supported by certified renewable generation, significantly reducing the reported carbon impact of our operations.

Our markets
